Current electric vehicles are quite safe. According to the IIHS President, there is more evidence that EVs are as safe

safer than internal combustion vehicles. The IIHS has been awarding safety ratings since its inception in 1959.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) selected 101 automobiles as Top Safety Choices for 2022.

There will be just 90 choices in 2021. Vehicles must pass a number of crash tests and other examinations.

 The IIHS evaluates vehicles in a variety of ways, including front, driver, and passenger-side crash testing.
