Every week it seems like Tesla, a leader in the production of electric vehicles, announces some new development

It appears that some of their previously cutting-edge technology is soon becoming dated due to their ever

Tesla is now getting rid of the radar systems from its Model S and Model X lines, claims Car & Driver.

These vehicles will now only rely on "Tesla Vision," a collection of onboard cameras developed by the EV giant.

 These cameras are used by vehicles to detect their surroundings. Tesla has never before given up on radar, either.

Tesla said in May of last year that the Model 3 and Model Y will start arriving without the radar system installed.

 It appears that the self-driving "autopilot" feature is no longer dependent on the radar system for operation

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, said on Twitter that the radar technology was less efficient than the Tesla Vision
