According to a recent California New Vehicle Dealers Association research,

 two Tesla models are the top-selling new autos in California this year, indicating the state's continued support for electric vehicles.

The Model Y is the state's top seller in 2022, according to the report, with 42,320 registrations through June.

With 38,993 sales, the Tesla Model 3 finished in second. Toyota's RAV4, Camry, and Corolla finished third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.

According to the research, while Toyota is the overall top-selling brand in the state, with 17.9% of the market share,

 Sales of new electric vehicles in California reached the greatest levels in the previous five years,

 The state is the first to sell one million plug-in electric vehicles, with more than 40% of all ZEVs

Trends show that Californians are getting more interested in purchasing alternatively powered autos.
