Mercedes-Benz has been producing autos for more than 120 years.

Tesla, on the other hand, has only been in business since 2003.

When it comes to EVs, however, Tesla is the established brand, whereas Mercedes-Benz is a newcomer.

Because of its acceleration figures that put many sports cars to shame, many automobile aficionados believe

the Tesla Model X Plaid to be the performance benchmark for electrified SUVs.

Mercedes-Benz may not have an EV SUV with the power to compete with a Model X Plaid,

the German carmaker does have the ICE-powered AMG GT coupe, which is priced and performs similarly to the Tesla Model X Plaid.

Drag Racing & Car Things has a video on YouTube of a Tesla Model X Plaid racing against a Mercedes AMG GT.
